So, I've been a little lazy in the posting department, but all well. We had a fabulous Christmas and New Year. Tig LOVED all the toys and books, not so much did she care for the clothes (even though I very enthusiastically helped her open them), but she made Christmas the best! In my life, my Dad was always the one who I felt really went out of the way to make Christmas special (he was after all, still a big kid sometimes). :) So he's left a void in our lives that needed to be filled and I think that this Christmas, Tig did it for us. We really enjoyed ourselves and loved visiting with all the family.
Yeah for Christmas!!!
Christmas was doubly more special in that we spent part of the day with my Mom and her side of the family, most of whom I haven't seen in over six years! It's cute to watch my Mom with Tig; she watches her very intently and follows her around to see what she's getting into. :) I'd say she's getting pretty attached, and how could you not?! Have you met Antigone Rose? I mean really. :)
Out first 3 Generation Picture. Awwww.
After Christmas came some REALLY fabulous news! We got our first job for our brand new little company! Hooray! We are definitely seeing the blessings coming down as all the pieces and parts are being put into place. To date, we have two jobs and hopefully a couple more on the way!
We spent New Years in New Harmony and I'll post pics later, but it was lots of good (cold) fun too!
So, now onto this counting thing. Lately, as we go up and down the stairs in our house, I'll count them out loud to help Tig learn her numbers. So the other day, I'm counting along and I say "five", Tig says "six", I say "seven", she says "eight"!! I was amazed! Keeping in mind, I've only been counting the stairs for a week or two and all she's really said before was "one" and "two". Then yesterday, apparently she likes the even numbers, she said six, eight, and ten in order, while Devin was counting with her! I'm sure that's the accountant coming out in her. :) It must be. I told Devin, I'll really be impressed when she gets her numbers in english and spanish down.:) Sometimes I think toddlers are way smarter than we give them credit for!
