Tig Talk...
6/2009: I'm inspecting her pinkie toe nail and say, "You've got somethin crazy going on here, we need to trim it." Tigi gasps as she looks at it and says, "oh Mom...I've got to buy a new one." - Do I really say that that often?!
4/2009: Tigi's response to anything new or exciting, "Wow. That's amazing!" She also pulls out the old "Thanks Mom! Your the best mom ever!" Pretty often too. :)
2/2009: Devin coughs. Tigi tells him, "Papa, you need medicine. It's ok...you just take it like candy."
1/2009: Tig's chatty, chatty while we're driving and then says "Mom, MY question is..." then trails off again. :)
1/2009: As we're getting ready in the morning she says, "Mom, you take a shower. I not take a shower. That's my story." Ok, little bossy girl.
11/2008: I gave Tigi the Barbie Christmas Carol movie for her half birthday and this was her cute response: "I love it Mom! Thanks! This is so great! I love it!" (keep in mind she hadn't ever seen it yet...but it gets me excited for Christmas). :)
11/2008: A common phrase she's picked up this month "What a good idea Mom! You're so great. Thanks!" You have to love her enthusiasm.
10/2008: Tig lets out a little fart while sliding off my bed. When she hears it, she cocks her head to the side and says "What was that? A burp in my diaper?" :)
7/2008: With such an extensive grasp on the english language, we've moved on to comments like "yeah...sure mom," "um, no I can't," "need to go to store to buy more nacks, ummm, yummy nacks."
7/2008: Manipulation at such an early stage of life is a scary thing. Take this classic example: Tig: Mom, I want nacks (fruit snacks). Me: No, not until after dinner. Tig: Where papa? (Devin enters) Papa? Devin: Yes Tigi? Tig: (in a soft whisper) I want nacks. Lucky for me, Dev's wise to her tricks. :)
3/2008: In attempt to show her budding independence, these are some of Tigi's fav sentences: 1. No, Mommy. I no like it. 2. No...no way! 3. Hi, I Tigi (pointing to her chest). 4. Stop it Mommy, stopit (sounds like one word). - Who doesn't love a girl with a mind of her own?!
3/2008: I let Tig steer the Rhino while we putt around New Harmony. She shakes the wheel like crazy and tells me "Hold on!"
3/2008: To Devin, "No way papa."
2/2008: Dev brings home a happy meal for Tig. Before eating the last chicken nugget, she holds it with both her hands, looks it over and then starts petting it and saying "nice chicken, nice chicken." Who pets their food?!
2/2008: Devin drops something at the computer. Tig's response, "oh nice papa."
2/2008: Tig, starving in the car on the way home, is repeatedly saying "chicken, chicken, chicken" over and over again. So I pipe up and say "chicken...oh chicken." Her immediate reply... "where are you?"
1/2008: Ashley's teasing Tigone..Tig says "Stop" "Stop" "Stop Ashey" (Ashley persists), Tig sticks out her pointer finger and firmly says "One." Like Ashley had till "three" to knock it off. In our laughter, she never made it to "two."
1/2008: I ask "Tigi, are you excited to go see Aunt Jan?" Tig's reply "Pebbles" "Pebbles!" (Aunt Jan's pomeranian)...poor Aunt Jan. No love, no love.
1/2008: I'm standing in the kitchen, Tig walks in, goes over to the pantry, opens the door and says "hmmmmm...nack?"
12/2007 to present: Any time you turn on the Tv or turn to the Tivo menu, Tig starts yelling (no just speaking, but yelling) "Dieeeeeeego, Dieeeego!" Go, Diego, Go fans, anyone?
